WIMBORNE manager Christer Warren has refused to hang up the white flag on his side's championship chase.

But he acknowledged it is AFC Totton's title to throw away.

Magpies have been out of action since their 1-0 home defeat against Poppies on March 25, leaving Totton to go 15 points clear of them at the top.

Fourth-placed Wimborne have four games in hand, and would have a better goal difference than Totton if they won all those. However, Totton have only Brockenhurst and Vospers to play and are confident they can lift the crown.

Warren, whose side host fellow high-riders Poole Town tomorrow (3pm), said: "It is not just ourselves, the pack is relying on Totton slipping up.

"They almost slipped up against Christchurch but fair play they came through to win 3-2 after being behind.

"Realistically, there are four teams chasing second spot.

"I think if you look at Totton's games, it is in their favour to go on and win the league. It is just a lack of experience and self belief in ourselves that has seen us fall away. We are going to give it everything in our remaining matches though. We'll fight on until the end of the season and see where it gets us."

Wimborne, who are at full strength, have lost twice to Poole this season, 4-3 in the Dorset Senior Cup and 2-0 away in the league.

Dan Cann, Stuart Brown and Aaron Skelton return to Poole's squad.
