BOURNEMOUTH Poppies remain in the title mix after a set-piece double handed them a victory over Brading Town.
Despite being big outsiders for the Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division crown, fifth-placed Poppies still have a chance after goals from Mark Smith and Lamin Dibba secured a 2-1 victory at Victoria Park.
Smith struck direct from a corner in the 28th minute before Dibba headed in a free-kick at the back post just after half-time.
"It was a good performance," Poppies boss James Wood told the Daily Echo.
"I thought we pretty much dominated the game.
"In every game we're going to play now we're always going to have spells when we're going to panic a bit and are under pressure.
"But we created quite a few chances and took our goals well.
"Overall it was deserved and, as we're trying to get through to the lads, it's not about the performance, it's just about getting three points."
Poppies: Kearn, Beckett, Cherrett, Dibba, Morrell, M Toy (Strong, 75), Dancer, Smith, McCabe, Phillips, Jeffes. Unused subs: Barnes, Langrish, Crow, Wood.
