TWO of New Milton Town's recent recruits combined to fire them to victory at Fawcett's Field on Saturday.
Robbie Woolner, who joined Linnets from rivals Christchurch, netted the only goal of the game against Moneyfields after 37 minutes, having latched on to a pass from debutant Warren Kenna, who signed from Hamble.
New Milton's head of football Trevor Parker said: "We played them a few weeks ago and their manager said he didn't know how we didn't get anything from that game when we lost 1-0.
"And on Saturday they probably shaded it but we won 1-0. So all's fair in love and war."
Parker added: "The atmosphere and camaraderie in the club is fantastic. Win, lose or draw that's been good. So we're looking at next season with a lot more optimism than we entered this season."
New Milton Town: Clifton-Moore, Marks, R Chengadu, Coleman, Pidgley, Walker, Grace, Burt, Kenna, Ewen, Woolner (Smith, 55).
