FORMER Cherries boss Eddie Howe admitted he was “naturally surprised and disappointed” for Scott Parker, following his sacking at Vitality Stadium.
The 41-year-old former England international was dismissed from his post at the Dorset outfit this morning, having led the club to promotion from the Championship last season.
Club legend Howe, who took Cherries from the depths of League Two to the Premier League across two separate spells in charge, was asked for his thoughts on the dismissal ahead of his Newcastle side’s trip to Liverpool tomorrow.

Howe said: “I was naturally surprised and disappointed for Scott.
“It’s a difficult one to sort of take in so quickly. Scott did a brilliant job last year leading the team to promotion and back to the Premier League.
“But obviously, without knowing what’s going on at any other football club, I’d never pass comment just other than to support Scott.”
