NEW recruit Marcus Tavernier will wear the number 16 shirt at Cherries, as the club released their squad numbers for the 2022-23 Premier League campaign.
Midfielder Tavernier arrived on a five-year deal from Middlesbrough on Monday, joining for a reported fee of around £12million, including add-ons, although the exact figure has officially been undisclosed.
Lewis Cook previously wore 16 for Cherries before taking the number four shirt at the start of last season.
New full-back Ryan Fredericks will be the club’s number two, while Joe Rothwell, another summer arrival will take the number 14 shirt.
Goalkeeper Mark Travers has grabbed the number one shirt for the upcoming campaign after previously wearing 42 and 23 respectively.
Winger Siriki Dembele has taken the number 20 instead of last season’s 37, following on-loan full-back Leif Davis’s departure. He will wear ‘Siriki’ on the back of his shirt.
