DORSET star Georgia Hall began her Women’s British Open campaign with a one-under-par 70 on the opening day of competition at Muirfield.
The world number 27 got off to a solid start at the Scottish venue, with a birdie three on the par four second hole.
Seven straight pars then meant Hall reached the turn at one-under, before dropping a shot with a bogey five at the par four 10th.
Hall made sure she was below par after the opening round after picking up a shot at the short par three 13th.
The former Canford Kid would then go on to par her way in to cap a solid days work.
At the time of writing, Japan’s Hinako Shibuno led the field on six under, with a stunning 65 which included eight birdies.
Brockenhurst’s Liz Young and Poole-born Hayley Davis are among the afternoon starters.
