NEW kits always have the tendency to divide opinions, and that certainly is the case with Cherries’ home shirt.
The club have slightly deviated with the classic stripes of red and black, instead producing a snazzy number with zig-zag lines reminiscent of lightning bolts.
According to Cherries, the design is inspired by the structural beams atop the Vitality Stadium.
Some fans had previously raised concerns regarding Cherries adopting a betting sponsor for the front of their shirts, but many praised the club for giving supporters the option to buy a version of the jersey without the Dafabet logo on the front for no extra cost.
Judging by social media, certain fans placed their orders immediately, whilst others are perhaps waiting to see the kit in action before making a decision.
Here are just a few of the Tweets shared in the wake of the announcement:
This will divide opinion for sure but this our best home kit in many years #afcb https://t.co/xEqMh4Ro3u

A bit off-the-wall but stripes and more red than black so I'm happy. https://t.co/DQaA9965hp
If I’m honest, I’m not sure on the home shirt. Hopefully it grows on me (quite literally would be helpful) #afcb pic.twitter.com/dwFbi7AY7n

Hope the new shirt is not a visual interpretation of us zig-zagging between the Prem and Championship 😀 It's a 'no' from me. #afcb

inspired by and reflective of the club’s architectural stadium pillars, the striking new home kit also gives a nod to the past in the style of the iconic kits from the early nineties. #afcb pic.twitter.com/cYlYs7VsdZ

So the kit has been launched and it’s divided opinion. But massive credit to @robafcb & @afcbsuperstore for offering an adult shirt without sponsorship.

Well done to those at @CherriesTrust who ‘may’ have influenced things too. #afcb
Anybody complaining about the new #afcb should give their head a wobble. Just because something doesn’t follow the norm doesn’t mean it’s bad. Get a grip! #denise
