RYAN Christie admitted there were “plenty” of big Premier League games he was looking forward to – but a trip to Old Trafford would be a “dream come true”.

The Scotland international was speaking after helping guide Cherries back to the top-flight after a two-year absence.

Promotion from the Championship meant Christie, who signed for the Dorset club on deadline day last summer, would feature at England’s elite level for the first time.

Asked by the Daily Echo which Premier League games he was looking forward to, the 27-year-old said: “Plenty of them. A lot of boys from Scotland are up there. I will be looking forward to playing against some of their teams.

“I’ve been a Man United fan since I was young, so playing against them at Old Trafford will be a dream come true as well.

“I’ve not even thought about it that much. I am sure when pre-season rolls around it will finally maybe kick in that we are getting to play in the Premier League.

“Hopefully it will be even better if we are successful.”

Cherries are scheduled to visit Manchester United on Monday, January 2, 2023.

Christie featured 39 times for Scott Parker’s side in all competitions last season, scoring three goals.
