WIMBORNE Town boss James Stokoe has bolstered his goalkeeping stable with the addition of Ben Rodwell from Bashley.
Rodwell, who came through the ranks at Wimborne, has experienced a taste of men’s football with Andover Town, Verwood Town, and Bashley, as well as being attached with Weymouth.
With former Cherries goalkeeper Tom Parker Trott arriving earlier in the summer, Rodwell will provide cover in the goalkeeping department.
Manager James Stokoe told the club’s website: “Ben has come on board for the season as cover to Tom Parker Trott.
“He spent time at the club as a youngster, and he was happy to come back and progress his footballing career with us this season.”
Ben Rodwell added: “Having previously been at Wimborne from the under-16s to the Development Squad, I have experienced how great the club is, so when Matt (Gamble, assistant manager) and James contacted me about coming back from Bashley, the opportunity to contribute to the first team in the Southern League made it an easy decision.
“I am happy to be signing and look forward to the season ahead.”
