PHILIP Billing earned his third senior Denmark cap and helped his country edge closer to the Nations League Finals.

Billing, who debuted for Denmark in October 2020, came off the bench at half-time during last night's clash with Austria.

The Danes already led 2-0 in Copenhagen, with goals from Jonas Wind and Andreas Skov Olsen.

Cherries midfielder Billing replaced the latter, and Denmark closed out the 2-0 victory over Ralf Rangnick's men.

Kasper Hjulmand's outfit top Group A1, with nine points from their four fixtures.

They are two points clear of Croatia and five ahead Austria, with France still winless.

Elsewhere, James Hill was not part of the England under-21s squad which lost 2-1 to Slovenia in Huddersfield.

The Young Lions have already qualified for next year's European Championship.
