SCOTT Parker revealed Cherries' promotion-clinching goal came "off the cuff" rather than an elaborate training ground plan.

Rather than opting to shoot from the edge of the box after Jordan Zemura had been fouled, Philip Billing laid the ball off to Kieffer Moore, who curled into the bottom corner to earn a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

Coach Gary O'Neil is usually tasked with organising offensive set pieces, but Parker admitted Moore's goal was not pre-planned.

Asked if the set piece was one of O'Neil's, Parker told the Daily Echo: "It wasn’t!

"I’d like to say us as staff could gain credit for that, but a lot of detail we put into these players, loads and loads of detail, very intense in what we do in our planning. But that was off the cuff.

"That was good players using their initiative. Philip Billing, incredible, executing it. It was brilliant."

Moore has become Cherries' unlikely hero over the past week, scoring twice to earn the club a 3-3 draw with Swansea City, before his 83rd-minute goal to see off Forest.

"If I was to show you what Kieffer has done in training, you will be gobsmacked," said Parker.

"Kieffer, at Swansea, had trained one day.

"He had a setback with his foot and because of the needs, he put himself available on the bench.

"I said to myself, 10 minutes max at Swansea if we can get him on.

"Desperate measures, we’re 3-0 down and need to bring him on. He scores two goals, massive.

"And then tonight again he gets a winner to put us into the Premier League. So an amazing story.

"A real shame we’ve not had him for when we brought him in, because I think we’ve seen over the last two games what he's brought to this team.

"But he deserves this moment, I’m pleased for him."
