GOALSCORER Kieffer Moore revealed that he enjoyed the boos he received from Swansea fans as he made his way on to the pitch in Cherries' 3-3 draw in Wales last night.

Moore, a deadline day signing from Swansea’s eternal rivals Cardiff City, came off the bench to score twice, helping his side return from being 3-0 down.

The home support made sure their feelings were known when Moore replaced Jamal Lowe in the 62nd minute, with Lowe also jeered after departing Swans last summer.

When asked by the Daily Echo if the boos served as motivation, Moore responded: “Yeah, definitely. I think it's potentially spurred me on even more.

“Obviously come from playing for Cardiff, Swansea fans don't take to that too nicely, but it's all love, it's all football.

“When I put the Welsh shirt on, like I said, it's all love, and it was a nice moment actually. I enjoyed the booing!”

After being on opposing sides of the South Wales derby last campaign, Moore and Lowe have been reunited at Cherries. The pair first shared a club at Wigan Athletic, and the previous connection has helped Moore settle in at Cherries.

The 29-year-old has links to others in the squad, with fellow Welsh international Chris Mepham another familiar face.

When asked if Lowe and Mepham had helped the former Dorchester Town man get to grips with life on the south coast, Moore responded: “Yeah, definitely.

“We've done a lot, done some team bonding, which is nice.

“We've done a couple of nights together.

2I harp on, it's a great group here. It's a great group of lads.

“Everyone is singing off the same hymn sheet and that's promotion to the Premier League.”

It was an evening full of comebacks, with Moore’s substitution representing a personal return from a broken foot sustained four minutes into his Cherries career.

Despite top-goalscorer Dominic Solanke being an automatic name on the teamsheet, Moore was always confident he would be able to make his mark once he recovered from his setback.

“I always back myself,” he continued. I have full confidence in myself. I know what I'm capable of, I've proved that on every team I've been in.

“I've every stage I’ve played at, I've always scored goals and I'll always back myself to score goals.”

Despite missing 13 league games since that injury in the win over Birmingham in February, Moore will be hoping to add to his two goals and contribute to Cherries’ return to the Premier League.

Whilst the towering striker is not 100 per cent match fit, he will be in contention for Cherries’ trip to Blackburn this Saturday.
