KIEFFER Moore is around three weeks away from a return to action, confirmed Cherries boss Scott Parker.

The Wales international joined Cherries from Cardiff City for a reported £3.5million on January transfer deadline day.

However, disaster struck for the 29-year-old when he broke his foot after landing awkwardly just moments after coming on as a substitute for his debut in a 3-1 win over Birmingham City on February 9.

The striker, who will miss Wales's huge World Cup play-off clash with Austria this month, had scored five goals in 23 appearances for the Bluebirds this season before moving to Cherries.

Asked for an update on the former Dorchester Town man, who has been seen around Vitality Stadium on matchdays recently on crutches wearing a protective boot, Parker told the Daily Echo: "He’s out the boot now. It’s probably an eight-week injury and he’s five weeks (in) I think, as of Monday.

"So we’re probably three to three-and-a-half weeks away hopefully from seeing him."
