CRISTIANO Ronaldo has been told to “go and sign for Bournemouth” by Richard Keys, as the presenter launched into a bizarre rant on the Manchester United superstar.

Portuguese icon Ronaldo has not scored in six games for his club, his longest drought in over a decade, following their 1-1 draw with Southampton on Saturday.

Ahead of kick-off on the weekend, Keys was assessing the effectiveness and attitude of 37-year-old Ronaldo during his second spell with the Old Trafford outfit.

On beIN SPORTS, he said: “My own view would be that I would encourage him to go now.

“I have been of the opinion all season long that he is as much a part of the problem, not the whole problem, as much a part of the problem as anyone else.

“The other night when he was running up the tunnel at the end of the game at Turf Moor, having lectured everyone that he is the leader and that young players don’t do the things that he does.

“How does that encourage team spirit?”

When Keys was met with the response that Ronaldo is just trying to play as many games and score as many goals as possible before he has to bring his career to an end, Keys suggested a move to Vitality Stadium.

He added: “That’s fine, go and sign for Bournemouth and you can play every week.

“Can he do it at the very highest level still? The answer for me is no.”
