BOSS Scott Parker admits it was "disappointing" to see Zeno Ibsen Rossi's proposed loan move to Dundee collapse on deadline day.

The centre-back was subject of interest from both the Scottish Premiership strugglers and League One outfit Crewe Alexandra earlier this week.

Following the arrival of Nat Phillips on loan from Liverpool, Cherries sanctioned a move for Ibsen Rossi to depart Vitality Stadium.

However, a move was not ratified in time, with paperwork from Cherries reportedly not submitted ahead of the midnight deadline on Monday evening.

A report in the Dundee Courier on Wednesday explained how the Scottish side had appealed to FIFA in the hope they would provide clearance for the deal to be completed.

They claim the 21-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Kilmarnock, had rejected the advances from Crewe in favour of another switch north of the border.

At the time of writing, a move had not been confirmed, with Ibsen Rossi still training with Cherries.

Asked if anything had been finalised for Ibsen Rossi to move to Scotland, Parker told the Daily Echo on Friday: "I don’t think so.

"Last time I heard I think it fell through quite late, which is disappointing.

"Because I think it would’ve been good for Zeno.

"Obviously the route for him currently in that position is probably blocked up for him at the moment.

"It would’ve been good for him, but that didn’t materialise."

Ibsen Rossi made his Cherries debut under Parker in July and has made seven appearances for the club this season.

But he now finds himself sixth in the pecking order, behind Lloyd Kelly, Gary Cahill, Phillips, Chris Mepham and James Hill.
