CHERRIES reportedly made a deadline day move for Blackpool’s Josh Bowler – with the Dorset club offering a rumoured £2 million and Gavin Kilkenny on loan.

LancsLive reported that two clubs supposedly made bids for the winger, with Cherries’ apparent bid lower than Nottingham Forest’s £3m offer.

On top of gaining Kilikenny on loan, Blackpool were also understood to be keen on Morgan Rogers, with the Lancashire club in position to loan the Manchester City winger if Bowler left.

The move was planned so thoroughly Rogers was apparently waiting for a phone call to join the Bloomfield Road outfit, according to LancsLive.

Interestingly Nottingham Forest was another rumoured destination for Rogers in the scenario the 19-year-old saw his loan cut short at the Vitality, but the former West Brom starlet is set to remain with Cherries for the rest of season.

That is despite numerous clubs being interested in the winger, with Cherries now unable to name all five loan charges in a matchday squad thanks to EFL rules.

Cherries’ interest reportedly ended when Dembele was brought in on deadline day, with Bowler a late name added into the mix in what was a frantic final day of the January transfer window.

In the end it was five signings on Monday, bringing Cherries’ total additions to seven.
