CHERRIES have confirmed Todd Cantwell as their fifth transfer deadline day signing, arriving on a loan deal from Norwich until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old playmaker joins up with Scott Parker’s squad at Vitality Stadium, following the additions of Freddie Woodman, Nat Phillips, Kieffer Moore and Siriki Dembele earlier in the day.

Cantwell comes to Cherries having played just eight times for Norwich this season, he was linked with the likes of Olympiakos and Granada during the final stages of the transfer window.

Born in Dereham, the former England under-21 international came through the youth ranks at Carrow Road.

He has however seen his game time limited this season, Cantwell’s most recent match action in the top flight came against Aston Villa on December 14.

The deal for Cantwell includes an option for Cherries to make the move permanent.

His other loan spell away from Carrow Road came at Eredivisie outfit Fortuna Sittard in 2018.
