CHERRIES have reportedly agreed a with Cardiff City for the permanent transfer of striker Kieffer Moore.

Moore, 29, has been regularly linked with a move to Scott Parker’s side throughout the January window but the club have now reportedly made a significant breakthough.

Bluebirds manager Steve Morison stated at the weekend that it was imperative Moore did not leave the club, telling press: “Until someone puts in an offer and someone tells me Kieffer Moore is leaving, nothing is happening with that.

"We can't afford to lose anybody. We can't afford to lose players, we can't afford to lose games.”

However, Sky Sports’ Mark McAdams is now reporting that a fee of around £3.5million has been agreed for the target man and that he is set for a Cherries medical today.

The current Wales international scored 20 goals in 44 Championship matches last season and would offer Parker a different style of forward.

The former Yeovil Town and Wigan Athletic man is a brute, capable of a physical style of play and using his six-foot four-inch frame to bully opposition defenders.

Moore has hit double figures every year in Football League competition since 2017-18, and has netted on five occasions for Cardiff this campaign.

Cardiff are hovering just six points clear of the relegation zone at the moment.

It was earlier reported that the Welsh side were holding out for an unrealistic £10million fee – one that is significantly higher than the reported agreement.

Asked whether fans can expect a hectic end to the January transfer window, Parker said: “We are trying relentlessly to try to help the team. We’re trying to bring in players to do that.”
