MANCHESTER City are reportedly set to recall Morgan Rogers from his Cherries loan spell and send him to another Championship side in Blackpool or Huddersfield.

Rogers signed a season-long deal with the Dorset club in the summer but was not included during today’s 1-0 victory at Barnsley.

The 19-year-old has made 15 appearances in the Championship so far this season - though only once has he started a game.

He netted his first goal of his time at Bournemouth earlier this month during a 3-2 defeat Luton.

However, having been frequently left on the bench or not in the matchday squad by head coach Scott Parker, City have been forced into a rethink on the youngster who had a promising League One campaign last season.

A fresh Daily Mail report this morning has detailed that Rogers has caught the interest of both Blackpool and Huddersfield, and City could look to send him on another loan to one of those Championship sides before the 11PM deadline.

Asked by the Daily Echo whether there was an update on Rogers’s future, after the victory at Oakwell, Parker said: “He wasn’t in the squad today.

“At this present moment in time, there may be a possibility that Morgan moves on.

“Just for today’s game I felt that was best in terms of where we are.

“Saying that, there is still a possibility that he is still here on Monday.

“So again, like anything in these situations, they are all a little bit up in the air – hence the window and where we are really.

“I think the next couple of days will pan out and then we will be a bit clearer.”
