STEVE Cook got off to the perfect start following his departure from Cherries after helping new club Nottingham Forest record an FA Cup upset.

The 30-year-old played 90 minutes for Steve Cooper’s side as former Cherries striker Lewis Grabban’s late strike stunned Arsenal at the City Ground.

Substitute Grabban sealed a 1-0 win for the Championship side to book an East Midlands derby with Leicester in the fourth round.

Cook left Cherries last Tuesday after more than 10 years at the Dorset club.

Signing initially on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion under Lee Bradbury in October 2011, the defender made his move permanent in January 2012 for a fee of around £170,000.

The 30-year-old rose all the way up from League One into the Premier League, becoming both a Cherries legend and captain.

He could be back to take on Scott Parker’s men, with Forest set to visit Cherries on February 19.
