BOSS Scott Parker spoke of his delight after David Brooks’s positive update on his cancer treatment.
Wales international Brooks was diagnosed with Stage II Hodgkin lymphoma in October and last week revealed he was halfway through his treatment.
Hodgkin lymphoma is described by the NHS as an "uncommon cancer that develops in the lymphatic system, which is a network of vessels and glands spread throughout your body".
Warrington-born Brooks, who Cherries fans have been chanting in support of during the seventh minute of each of their fixtures, says his outlook is “promising and positive”.
And Parker, speaking after his side’s 3-1 victory over Yeovil in the FA Cup on Saturday, revealed he had recently seen the 24-year-old.
Parker said: “I'm absolutely delighted. I saw David about 10 days ago.
“He came into the club and looks really well. I spoke about the news and obviously pleased for him.
“There is still a little bit of a journey to go, but at this present moment in time, it is really positive and that's pleasing.”
