BOSS Scott Parker insisted conversations have “always been happening” regarding keeping his squad safe from the threat of a COVID-19 outbreak.
Premier League sides Tottenham and Manchester United have seen their respective fixtures postponed in recent days after a number of positive cases for the virus have been found in each camp.
Monday’s Championship fixture between QPR and Sheffield United was also called off due to an outbreak at the London club.
Asked how important it was to keep his players safe at present, Parker said: “Those conversations have always been happening, to be fair.
“We stick to all guidelines, try to act on protocols to keep all players safe as much as we can.
“Because we realise that one outbreak can wipe out for or five players and it can be challenging.
“The medical team and all players understand what is expected of them. Certainly now it seems even more so, as if it’s ramping up a little bit.
“As always, we will follow protocols and do the best we can with that.”
