CHERRIES’ Orjan Nyland has posted an update to his supporters following the sad recent passing of his mother.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper has been absent from Cherries’ recent games and will play no part in the upcoming international break for his country, Norway, as a result.
He posted this message on his official Instagram account: “This year has been the hardest in my life so far, especially the last few weeks have been really tough.
“My mother has been very ill and in the end there was no more treatment possible. I’ve been fortunate to have a lot of support from my wife, family, friends, teammates and AFC Bournemouth throughout this difficult time.
“After the game against Reading last weekend she passed away peacefully with my father, brother and family by her side. I know that you’ll always be with me and I’ll always keep you in my heart.”
