EDDIE Howe is back in work having been confirmed as the new Newcastle United boss, replacing Steve Bruce who was sacked last month.

Cherries legend Howe departed Vitality Stadium in August 2020 after a magical eight-year second stint at the club.

The 43-year-old is now back in management and taking over at St James' Park on a contract until 2024.

Howe guided Cherries to the Premier League and kept them their for five seasons, earning national plaudits that even saw him touted for the England job.

As such, he claimed a permanent place in the hearts of Cherries' supporters despite his eventual exit.

Now he has taken on a new job for the first time, Cherries' supporters have shared their thoughts and well-wishes - although some fans are quick to point out how they and the club has fully moved on.

Newcastle currently sit second from bottom of the Premier League, five points from safety and without a win so far in their 11 matches.
