JACK Stacey admits he enjoys playing with left-footed wingers in front of him so he can make overlapping runs – but insists that’s not all creator-in-chief Ryan Christie does for him.

Ex-Celtic summer acquisition Christie has started the last two fixtures against Stoke and Huddersfield in front of the former Luton man, with a lot of Cherries’ danger coming down the lethal right-hand side.

As a left footer on the right, Christie is able to cut inside for shooting opportunities as well as lifting raking balls that travel over and away from the defence.

Christie has made an instant impact with five assists in his first nine Championship games and cut himself a popular figure with the fans, and Stacey insists he’s a dream to play with as well as watch.

Asked if he enjoys the pairing by the Daily Echo, he responded: “I do, I always enjoy playing with a left-footer who can come inside so I can make the runs outside.

“But I think it’s the quality he has on his left foot, and also the other side of the game where he helps me out defensively, so I really enjoy playing with him.”
