ORJAN Nyland kept a clean sheet in net for Norway as they kept their 2022 Qatar World Cup hopes alive with a 2-0 victory over Montenegro.

In star-striker Erling Haaland’s injury-provoked absence, Southampton’s Moi Elyounoussi scored both goals to take his international tally to nine in 37 caps.

With two games remaining, Norway are two points behind group leaders Netherlands and two ahead of Turkey – travelling to Amsterdam on the final day in what could be a winner-takes-all pass to Qatar 2022.

Nyland has started both games during this international break.

Chris Mepham also kept a clean sheet as he played 90’ in Wales’ vital 1-0 win over Estonia in Tallinn.

Cardiff City striker Kieffer Moore hit the solitary goal of the evening, keeping their World Cup destiny in their own hands.

They currently sit third in Group E, but are only behind Czech Republic on goal difference and have a game in hand with only two left to play.

Those come in the shape of back-to-back home games against Belarus and Belgium on the final day, while Czech Republic have only Estonia – if Wales are defeated heavily be Belgium, that could be instrumental.

On-loan Morgan Rogers saw his strike deflect into the net for England under-20s, as he featured during a 5-0 hammering in Teplice.

The Young Lions were already three goals to the good courtesy of Miguel Azeez, Jay Stansfield and Tino Anjorin – before Rogers added the fourth with under 20’ to play.
