SCOTT Parker has admitted that Cherries do recommend their players are double-jabbed for the Covid-19 vaccination, amid international travel concerns this break, but “it’s one’s preference really.”

Cherries have got a number of stars who have departed for international duty this October, including the likes of Jefferson Lerma to South America and Jordan Zemura to Africa.

There seems to be growing talk and suggestions that vaccine passports or mandatory vaccinations will be pressed in certain fields going forward, but Parker insists it’s a personal choice.

Talk continued throughout the whole summer regarding vaccine passports for supporters at large venues such as football stadiums, with a phasing in supposedly to stop a ‘winter surge.’

Asked about his own squad, he said: “Not everyone is double jabbed.

“We live in a world where we recommend that as a football club. We give advice to our players in terms of what we feel is the right thing to do to safeguard them, to safeguard everyone else.

“But ultimately it comes down to one’s preference and what they want to do really. I probably stay a little bit more clear of that.
