UNBEATEN Merley Cobham Sports cruised to a 5-0 win over Bridport reserves, despite missing eight players.

Down to a bare 11 after Elliot Rossiter withdrew late on due to food poisoning, Merley still produced an impressive display.

Cobham took the lead in just the sixth minute when a Matt Groves free-kick was spilled into the path of Nathan Walker to turn home.

The lead was doubled 20 minutes later, Lewis Worrall finishing well on the volley.

Richie Sands made it 3-0 early in the second half, before Walker added his second just past the hour mark.

And Walker completed his hat-trick to round off the big win.

Elsewhere in the division, Paul Best bagged a brace as Swanage Town & Herston swept aside Poole Borough 5-1.

It was Poole who actually took the lead at Day’s Park with Daniel Mirto finding the net.

However, Swanage completed the turnaround, netting twice in the final 10 minutes of the first half.

Joe Clark was the first on target, netting from the penalty spot, before Sam Peacock put Swans in front.

The hosts got into their stride in the second half, Best making it 3-1.

He quickly added his second of the afternoon just four minutes later, following good work by Ryan Moss.

And Swanage’s fine afternoon was capped off when Tom Chapman brilliantly headed home.

Corfe Castle saw off Purbeck rivals Wareham Rangers 2-1 thanks to a late own goal, after earlier strikes from Owen Coulter-Thomas and Ocean Smith.

Carl Edwards, Joe Smith and Jack Satterley were all on target as leaders Hamworthy Recreation won 3-0 at Blandford United, while Bournemouth Sports lost 5-3 to Holt United at Chapel Gate.
