MORGAN Rogers featured for England under-20 for the first time as they hammered Romania 6-1 to start off their new season.

The 19-year-old has played regularly for Three Lions age groups since under-15s but made a new step to an older group.

The two sides met in a friendly at St George’s Park in London and the Cherries man was introduced at half-time, with the score 2-0.

Within ten minutes of his introduction, Andy Edwards’ young Lions had a third before the visitors got one back, but added three more with the final strike coming in the last minute of the game.

The goals came courtesy of Leeds United striker Joe Gelhardt's brace, Clinton Mola, James McAtee, Jensen Weir and Rak-Sakyi.

The under-20s will be back in action next month when they face Italy at St. George’s Park on Thursday 7 October before an away trip to play Czech Republic on Monday 11 October.
