SCOTT Parker was pleased to welcome key duo Jack Stacey and Jefferson Lerma back into his side for Saturday's draw at Hull, insisting: "I can see them only getting better."

After serving a six-game ban having been found guilty of biting opponent Josh Windass, Lerma came straight into the starting XI at MKM Stadium.

It was his first appearance of any kind for Cherries since the Championship play-off semi-final loss at Brentford in May, although he did feature for Colombia in a World Cup qualifier in June.

Meanwhile Stacey started at right-back against Hull for his first outing since suffering a quad injury during the Carabao Cup win over MK Dons in July.

Both Stacey and Lerma came through the full 90 minutes of the 0-0 draw against Hull.

"Really good to have them back," Parker told afcbTV.

"Missed them, missed their experience in terms of the depth in the squad as well.

"So I was really pleased that they came back. I can see them only getting better, only going to improve.

"They’ve not had a lot of real game time or certainly training time with us, so they’re only going to get stronger and improve, but that was pleasing."
