BOSS Scott Parker cannot wait for tomorrow's transfer deadline to pass, admitting: "I hate it while it's open."

Clubs in England have until 11pm to complete deals both in and out, before the window slams shut until January.

Cherries are still very keen to add to their squad, with a striker high on the priority list.

They have already seen Emiliano Marcondes, Leif Davis, Morgan Rogers, Orjan Nyland and Gary Cahill arrive this summer.

And Parker, who took charge of Cherries in June, is looking forward to the speculation regarding ins and outs to finally draw to a close tomorrow.

Asked what it's like for a manager in the days and hours leading up to the deadline, Parker told the Daily Echo: "You have one focus. I can’t wait until it shuts, no matter what.

"If no-one comes in or if we get one player, we get two, whatever it may be. I can’t wait until it closes.

"I’ve always been like that since I’ve been a manager. I hate it while it’s open.

"I feel I’m the sort of person that does like to know exactly where we are. But it is what it is at the same time.

"As you watch from the outside and you see the story break, is it this, that or one minute it’s that and then it’s gone somewhere else. That’s the reality.

"It’s no different sitting on this side really.

"So while we’ve planned and while we are planning and while Richard (Hughes, technical director) and the team are obviously doing the best that they can and organising that, at times, the nearer you get it can be that you need to work on your toes a little bit.

"We have got some things in place at this moment in time that seem to be travelling down the right road, and hopefully they can conclude in the right way, so we’ll have to see."

During last year's transfer deadline day in October, Parker's Fulham made three signings in Tosin Adarabioyo, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Joachim Andersen.

Discussing the process of bringing players to the club in the final hours, Parker explained: "As you can imagine, it’s not ideal because you wouldn’t really want to be doing your work that late in the day.

"But it seems because there’s a deadline on, that’s when all the deals seem to happen, because that’s the way it is.

"So while it’s not ideal, at the same time you realise that’s what sometimes happens really. So it’s a little bit stressful."
