CHERRIES are closing in on the signing of Manchester City youngster Morgan Rogers on a season-long loan, the Daily Echo understands.
The 19-year-old started his youth career at West Bromwich Albion before joining City’s Academy in 2019 – after he had played against them in the FA Youth Cup semi-final.
The Halesowen-born star, who normally operates as a winger, has represented England from under-15 to under-18 level.
Rogers spent the second half of last season on loan at League One Lincoln City and made 28 appearances for the imps in all competitions, scoring six times and registering four assists.
The Daily Echo also understands Cherries have an option to make Rogers’s switch permanent with the club.
