CHERRIES could be boosted by the returns of both Ben Pearson and Junior Stanislas for Wednesday's trip to Birmingham City.

Pearson has not featured since the play-off semi-final defeat at Brentford in May, ruled out of the start of this campaign due to illness.

Stanislas played 24 minutes of the season opener against MK Dons in the Carabao Cup on July 31, but injured his hamstring during the warm-up for the Championship contest with West Brom six days later.

However, both now look set to return, with late calls to be made on recovering trio Steve Cook, Arnaut Danjuma and Jack Stacey.

"Ben Pearson and Junior Stanislas hopefully will be available, or certainly around it involved," said boss Scott Parker.

"Steve Cook and Danjuma have trained, but obviously have been out considerably longer.

"So in terms of workloads and where they are, they’re probably in a bit of a different situation.

"Not to say that they might not be involved, we’ll have to see probably tomorrow on that one, to see how they pull through."

He added: "I’m not sure on Jack Stacey at the present moment in time.

"Has done some light work, but we’ll have to see. Obviously with the situation we’re in, we’re trying to push as hard as we can, hence we we’re probably making a lot more later calls than we probably normally would.

"But we’ll have to see a bit nearer the time of that."

Parker also confirmed Adam Smith will not make the trip to Birmingham, having missed Saturday's win over Nottingham Forest with illness.

Cherries will definitely be without injured Lewis Cook and suspended duo David Brooks and Jefferson Lerma.
