CHERRIES fans were upbeat following their opening-day Championship draw, having fielded a youthful side against West Bromwich Albion at Vitality Stadium.

The Dorset club were twice pegged back to be held to a 2-2 draw by the Baggies in a breathless Championship opener at Vitality Stadium.

Emiliano Marcondes put Cherries ahead early in the contest, only for Dara O’Shea to level the game before half-time.
