CHERRIES fans were upbeat following their opening-day Championship draw, having fielded a youthful side against West Bromwich Albion at Vitality Stadium.
The Dorset club were twice pegged back to be held to a 2-2 draw by the Baggies in a breathless Championship opener at Vitality Stadium.
Emiliano Marcondes put Cherries ahead early in the contest, only for Dara O’Shea to level the game before half-time.
Cherries took to the front again soon after the restart through Philip Billing, before Callum Robinson tied things up to set up a tense final 20 minutes.
Here’s how Cherries fans reacted to their opening performance in the league campaign.
Very happy considering the youngsters we put out, they did themselves proud. 😀🍒😀😀🍒😀🍒

Really happy. A draw against premier league quality, with a load of injuries down the side. Kids did us proud, only downside is physicality and defending set pieces.

A satisfactory start for #afcb last night. The youngsters looked at home, two good goals, and a point against a team we would have lost to last season.

Last night showed that us fans don’t demand the prettiest football in the world, we just want a team we can be proud of.
