POOLE Pirates' scheduled trip to Scunthorpe this evening has been postponed.
Gary Havelock was set to take charge of in-form Poole, who are eight meetings unbeaten following Wednesday night's impressive 52-38 win over champions Leicester Lions at Wimborne Road.
But they will have to wait a bit longer to continue their charge up the SGB Championship table, due to heavy rain in Lincolnshire this morning and expected to last throughout the day.
Adam Ellis and Josh MacDonald, two men who were originally pencilled in to Poole's one-to-seven for this Championship campaign before it was postponed last year, were due to line-up for Scorpions at Eddie Wright Raceway this evening.
A new date for the fixture has yet to be decided.
Scunthorpe have confirmed any online tickets already purchased for the meeting can be transferred to the new date, a future home meeting or refunded.
Pirates are now next due in action back at Wimborne Road on Wednesday, hosting Edinburgh Monarchs.
That starts a run of four meetings in five days, with trips to Edinburgh, Berwick and Newcastle all to come next week.
Poole sit sixth in the Championship table, 11 points off leaders Glasgow with five meetings in hand.
