Fans give verdict on possible new Cherries keeper Woodman

The Daily Echo understands 24-year-old stopper Woodman has agreed terms with the Dorset outfit.

He had been set to fly out to Spain to join Scott Parker’s squad training in Marbella.

But the deal has been stalled due to the injury sustained by Newcastle keeper Dubravka, who is reportedly set to see a consultant.

Should Woodman arrive at Cherries, he would provide competition for the likes of Asmir Begovic, Mark Travers and Will Dennis.

Travers and Dennis are currently in Marbella for the club’s pre-season training camp, while Begovic is back in the UK recovering from a hip-flexor injury.

But what did Cherries’ fans make of the possible arrival of Woodman? We asked for views on Twitter.

Our best player in the last 2 seasons has been our keeper.

I’d be gutted to see Begs leave but if it has to happen for budget reasons then so be it.
