CHERRIES have reportedly rejected an offer of 15million Euros from Villarreal for winger Arnaut Danjuma.

Sky Sports claim the La Liga side submitted their bid for the Netherlands international, who has been heavily linked with a move away from Vitality Stadium this summer.

Danjuma, who has been pictured in training with Cherries during pre-season, enjoyed a fruitful campaign with the Dorset club in the Championship during 2020-21.

He scored 17 goals and registered eight assists. Two of his goals came in Cherries’ play-off semi-final defeat to Brentford across two legs back in May.

The 24-year-old was also named in the Championship team of the Season along with teammate Asmir Begovic.

Danjuma signed for Cherries from Belgian outfit Club Brugge for £13.7million in 2019 and has made 52 appearances for the Dorset club.

The former PSV youngster has also been linked with the likes of Southampton and Wolfsburg over this summer.

Villarreal finished seventh in the Spanish top flight last season.
