England came away victorious after inflicting a 2-1 defeat on Denmark in extra time to seal the Three Lions' place in their first final of a major tournament since 1966.

A strike from Harry Kane, as he followed up his saved penalty effort, and an own goal courtesy of Simon Kjaer was enough to overcome Mikkel Damsgaard’s sublime freekick.

The historic occasion means England will face Italy at Wembley in the European Championship final on Sunday at 8pm, with potentially up to 90,000 allowed to see the game live in the stadium; not everyone will have that immense luxury.

Many fans will be watching in pubs up and down the country and with the temperature set to reach highs of 18 degrees we’ve compiled a list of some of the places you can watch the match outside in Bournemouth and Poole.

The George Tapps

Old Christchurch Road, BH1 1JZ

Located on Old Christchurch Road the George Tapps is a firm fan favourite in the town and has multiple screens available outside showing the beautiful game.

The Stonegate pub offers a variety of outdoor seating as well as some wooden huts to sit and watch the game all while enjoying the benefits of being outside during the summer months.

The largest beer garden in Bournemouth features a decking area and a terrace all complete with benches and most importantly all in view of a plasma screen TV.

O’Neills

Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth BH1 1JZ

Currently, O’Neills is operating under reduced hours due to members of staff currently isolating, however, they will be open for football this weekend.

The Irish-style pub offers a large courtyard space with a decking area and some seating under a marquee in addition to plenty of seating across the open outdoor space all facing a large TV on the rear wall.

Also located on Old Christchurch Road the pub offers an Irish-influenced food and drinks menu.

Backyard

1812 Exeter Road, Bournemouth BH2 5BY

Backyard opened up during the pandemic and became an instant success with locals for its unique outdoor style.

The venue, on the grounds of the Royal Exeter Hotel, boasts a large sun terrace and a 300sq m tent alongside a 112’ inch screen for the all-important clash.

Although they don't usually show football games outside they have been making an exception and bringing out the big guns whenever Gareth Southgate's side has been in action.

Mai Tai

16, 18 Bournemouth Road, Poole BH14 0ES

In neighbouring Poole cocktail bar, Mai Tai near the Ashley Cross Green also offers the opportunity to watch the crunch match on a large screen.

Mai Tai gives punters the chance to watch the game on a 2m x 3.5m widescreen in a custom-built casing complete with a surround-sound audio system.

Visitors can watch the game outside on bar stool seating, picnic benches and low furniture seating.

The game kicks off at 8 pm on Sunday with the venues on this list operating via a booking system online on their respective websites, although Backyard also states they do reserve space for walk-ins.
