CHERRIES have announced the signing of attacking midfielder Emiliano Marcondes on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old arrives at Vitality Stadium on a three-year contract, having left Brentford earlier this week.

He becomes new head coach Scott Parker’s first summer signing.

Marcondes played a key role in the Bees’ promotion to the Premier League last season, making 40 appearances in all competitions.

He scored in Brentford's play-off final victory over Swansea City and was named  man of the match in the Wembley showdown.

Marcondes is due to join up with Parker's squad next week, after completing a period of quarantine.
