CHERRIES will now start their season with a Carabao Cup first-round tie against MK Dons at Vitality Stadium on Saturday, July 31.
The game will be new head coach Scott Parker’s first game in charge.
The fixture was initially due to take place in the week commencing August 9, although clubs were able to mutually agree an alternative date between July 31 and August 4.
MK Dons travelled to Vitality Stadium in the same competition in August 2018.
Cherries triumphed 3-0 on that occasion thanks to goals from Lys Mousset, Ryan Fraser and Jordon Ibe. Jefferson Lerma and Diego Rico made their debuts for the Dorset club on that occasion.
