CHERRIES are set to kick-off their 2021-22 Championship campaign at home to West Bromwich Albion.

The sides will do battle at Vitality Stadium on Saturday, August 7, with the full list of league fixtures for the Dorset club announced this morning.

West Brom will make the journey to the south coast for their first fixture back in the second tier since suffering relegation from the Premier League last season.

At the time of writing, both sides are looking to finalise managerial appointments ahead of the new campaign.

Cherries have been strongly linked with Scott Parker to take them into the new season, with Jonathan Woodgate’s contract as head coach set to expire next week.

West Brom are reportedly set to appoint Barnsley boss Valérien Ismael as their new manager, having parted ways with Sam Allardyce.

The sides also met on the opening day of the 2017-18 campaign, defender Ahmed Hegazi’s header proved enough to overcome Cherries 1-0 in the Premier League at the Hawthorns.

Cherries will end their league campaign with a home clash at Millwall on Saturday, May 7.
