CHERRIES are reportedly keen to confirm Scott Parker as their new manager “by this weekend” according to the Evening Standard.
Parker has been in charge of Fulham since February 2019, overseeing two relegations from the Premier League and a promotion via the Championship play-offs.
The former England midfielder signed a contract extension with Fulham last year, but he now looks set to leave the club.
At the time of writing, The Sun reported Parker is “on the brink” of exiting Craven Cottage having been in talks with the West London outfit over the past 10 days.
The 40-year-old has been of interest to Cherries' board for some time.
They are currently in the process of finalising a management team ahead of the 2021-22 Championship campaign, which begins on August 7.
The fixtures for the new season are set to be released at 9am tomorrow.
Jonathan Woodgate was given the title of head coach at Cherries following the sacking of Jason Tindall back in February, but sees his current deal expire on June 30.
