JONATHAN Woodgate rated as "50-50" the chances of Steve Cook or Ben Pearson being fit to feature in tomorrow's play-off semi-final second leg at Brentford.

The pair were both withdrawn during Monday's 1-0 first-leg victory at Vitality Stadium due to injury.

Cook was seen post-match wearing a brace to protect a knee problem, while a slight hip issue forced Pearson off during the second half.

But Woodgate has not ruled either out of contention for tomorrow's trip to west London (12.30pm).

"Steve Cook is 50-50 for the game," said the boss.

"So is Ben Pearson. Junior Stanislas isn’t quite ready yet and Lewis Cook is still long-term.

"So let’s see with Ben and Steve Cook, let’s see how they are."

Asked how big a blow it would be if captain Cook was unable to feature, Woodgate added: "He is an important player, like any other player.

"He’s a leader, he’s the captain, but we’ve got an equally good replacement coming in in Chris Mepham.

"He’s a Welsh international and a really good player. When he came on against Brentford, in the second half I thought he was fantastic.

"So it will be a loss leadership wise, but Meps is a really top player also."
