JONATHAN Woodgate admitted Cherries were in a “good position” heading into the business end of the play-off race but insisted: “Nothing is completed.”

The head coach guided the Dorset club to a 2-1 victory over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday, sending his troops five points clear of seventh-placed Reading in their quest to make the top six.

Cherries moved up to fifth spot ahead of Barnsley on goal difference.

But heading into the final five games of the regular campaign, Woodgate was eager to take nothing for granted.

Asked whether he saw it as a race for the last two play-off spots between Cherries, Barnsley and Reading, he replied: “I see it that anyone can be caught.

“Swansea can be caught, Brentford can be caught – you never know in this league.

“There’s always upsets that happen. We have got ourselves in a good position, nothing is completed.

“We’ve got five games to go and we need to win as many as we can to secure that.

“At the minute we are doing really well. We can improve it and get better – but at the minute we are a confident bunch, not over-confident.”
