BOSS Jonathan Woodgate insisted Cherries youngster Christian Saydee had shown “a fantastic attitude” and added: “He looks like a winner.”
The teenage striker has impressed the head coach since Woodgate’s arrival at the club last month – and was named on the bench for last week’s 2-1 victory at Bristol City.
Asked what he liked about Saydee, Woodgate told the Daily Echo: “A fantastic attitude. Good ability.
“He needs to improve in certain areas of his game but I have been really pleased with him.
“He looks like he’s a winner and yeah, he’s impressed me.”
Former Reading youngster Saydee has spent time on loan in non-league with the likes of Weymouth and Poole Town.
“I think it’s important for every young player to try to get a loan,” said Woodgate.
“If they are not going to play in the first team they need to get out on loan and play proper games – where it means the world to these players to win games.
“Especially lower down, people have got to pay their mortgages and they will do anything to win football matches – at times that’s where younger players need to go and learn their trade.”
