CHERRIES have confirmed midfielder Jefferson Lerma’s red card against Luton Town on Saturday has been overturned.
The midfielder was sent off by referee David Webb after his arm collided with the face of Tom Lockyer during Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Vitality Stadium.
As the pair battled for a header, Lerma appeared to be knocked off balance whilst in mid-air by Luton's Luke Berry, with the Colombian then striking Lockyer as he came towards the ground.
The Hatters defender was left bloodied and forced off after the challenge.
But following Cherries’ appeal over the sending off decision, the FA's disciplinary panel has overturned the matter – meaning Lerma will not be banned.
The Colombian will be available for tomorrow night’s trip to Derby County (6pm).
