BOSS Jason Tindall insists he remains "flexible" to the idea of shifting formations, adding: "I wouldn't be afraid to start with a back four."

Tindall has a decision to make ahead of tomorrow's clash with Birmingham City (3pm).

He currently boasts a fully fit squad, but will be without centre-back Steve Cook for the trip to St Andrew's, with the captain serving a one-match suspension having been sent off against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night.

Chris Mepham and Lloyd Kelly are likely to keep their places, with Cameron Carter-Vickers, Jack Simpson, Diego Rico and Nnamdi Ofoborh all viable options to replace Cook.

Tindall could also use the opportunity to change formation, moving away from three at the back, which he has started with in every game so far.

Asked if that was a switch he'd consider in Cook's absence, Tindall told the Daily Echo: "I’ve been happy with the way we’ve played.

"For the majority of the games I’ve been happy.

"I’m always flexible. In games we’ve gone to a back four when I’ve felt we’ve needed to and I’m flexible in terms of I wouldn’t be afraid to start with a back four or a back three, depending on who is available and what the opposition are going to be like and whatever team I feel is going to good enough to go out there and win the game."
