BOURNEMOUTH star Chris Billam-Smith’s scheduled British and Commonwealth cruiserweight title fight with Deion Jumah has been postponed.

The Gentleman was poised to face British rival Jumah at the SSE Arena, Wembley, on November 21 - a Matchroom show promoted by Eddie Hearn.

But Jumah has had to pull out of the contest after reportedly having had eye surgery.

A post on Billam-Smith’s Twitter account said: “I wish Deion a speedy and full recovery.”

The fight is reportedly set to be rescheduled for January 30, with a replacement opponent lined up for 30-year-old Billam-Smith for the November date.

Speaking about the upcoming card on iFLTV, promoter Hearn said: “It was going to be Billam-Smith against Deion Jumah.

“Jumah is out of that fight, so we are looking for a replacement.”

Billam-Smith’s current professional record stands at 11 wins and one defeat.
