SPANISH star Rodrigo Riquelme dedicated his first Cherries goal to those closest to him and said: “Family is the most important thing in the world.”

The Atletico Madrid loanee popped up with nine minutes remaining at Vitality Stadium to earn Jason Tindall’s men a 1-1 draw with Championship rivals Derby.

Latching on to a cross from Diego Rico, who he described as a “big brother” to him. Winger Riquelme struck just five minutes after coming off the bench for the Dorset club.

Asked whether he would like to dedicate the goal to anyone, the 20-year-old told afcbTV: “To my family – 100 per cent.

“They are always there in the hard situations and the easy situations. Family is the most important thing in the world.

“It’s for my brothers. For my friends that are in Spain, my girlfriend.”

He added: “I am very happy to score my first goal.

“It’s to help the team, that’s the most important thing.”

Riquelme has made three substitute appearances since joining Cherries on a season-long deal last month.

“I feel good. I feel like at home, like in Madrid,” he added. “All the team-mates help me a lot, the staff too. I feel very, very good.”
