JASON Tindall revealed Philip Billing was left out of his squad to face QPR for "tactical" reasons.
The Dane was not among the starting XI or seven substitutes for this afternoon's 0-0 draw at Vitality Stadium.
Billing had previously featured in all six of Cherries' games in league and cup this season, starting three.
He also made his senior Denmark debut during last week's international break.
However, the 24-year-old was left out today with Jefferson Lerma, Lewis Cook and Dan Gosling the selected midfield trio. Nnamdi Ofoborh and Junior Stanislas were selected as options from the bench, alongside fellow outfielders Jordan Zemura, Arnaut Danjuma, Rodrigo Riquleme and Jack Simpson.
Asked if Billing was left out of the squad due to injury, Tindall told the Daily Echo: "No, it was just a tactical thing.
"I have to pick what I feel is the best team and the best squad each game and I felt the squad that was chosen today was the best squad based on what I’ve seen in the past couple of weeks in training."
